MouseEffectEffects are not appearing
Check the main enable switch in the app or menu bar, then select a built-in preset. Check that the relevant gesture is enabled and its particle count and intensity are not too low. If needed, quit and reopen the app. MouseEffect does not require you to grant Accessibility or Input Monitoring permission for its mouse-only effects.
Pause effects or lower intensity
Use the menu bar switch to pause all effects. In general settings, lower the global intensity. Choose to follow the system’s Reduce Motion setting or always reduce motion. The website demo has its own pause control and starts paused when your browser requests reduced motion.
Free drafts and the one-time purchase
Built-in effects are free. You can create, edit and temporarily preview custom effects for free, but an unsaved draft lasts only for the current app session. Saving and activating a custom preset requires the one-time unlock. Previously saved presets remain visible and can be deleted if the entitlement is unavailable, but cannot be activated without it.
Restore a purchase
Open the custom effects purchase panel and choose Restore Purchases (恢复购买). Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and check your network connection. Apple verifies the entitlement. If the purchase is pending, wait for Apple’s confirmation. Do not buy it again to solve a restore issue; contact support if it persists.
Import text, Emoji or images
Choose text or Emoji in the particle editor, or import a valid PNG, JPEG or SVG file. The source file must be at most 30 MB and within the app’s image-size limits. Raster images are reduced to a maximum stored dimension of 512 pixels. If an import fails, try a smaller image or re-export it in a supported format. Assets are copied into local app storage.
Local settings and presets
Settings, custom presets and imported assets are kept on your Mac, without a developer cloud-sync service. Delete unneeded custom presets in the library. If you plan to remove all app data or change Macs, contact support for guidance before deleting local files. Removing the app alone may leave its sandbox data.
Availability and language
The app is not yet released. The download status on this site will change when it becomes available. This website has fourteen languages; the native app currently has a Chinese interface. The US$4.99 base price is a one-time purchase; the App Store shows the actual local price.
